Synopsis: Scene study adapted from the novel Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.
A girl is haunted by her friend’s death and works to recover from an eating disorder.

Character Breakdowns:

Lia – 18, calm reserved girl who’s going through internal turmoil because of her friend’s death.

Jennifer – Late 40’s, uptight step-mother who cares on the inside.

Emma – Third grade girl, innocent and sweet.

Mrs. Parrish – Late 30’s, suburban mom.
